Some marketers lean in to nostalgia to establish immediate connections, as Adobe Creative Cloud did with their Joy of Sketching ad featuring a Bob Ross lookalike. At adidas, we took it one step further and reinvented an old Frank Sinatra song by placing it in a modern context that grabs your attention. By highlighting the rich past of music, art, film, and sport, we were able to connect with audiences both old and new. Here are some other ads that breathe new life into old favorites.

Every year for Halloween, Jesse Wellens and Casey Neistat do something crazy in NYC, like ride a magic carpet dressed as Aladdin, cruise the streets as Silver Surfer or even snowboard through Times Square. But this year, they went even bigger for their annual ride. The creative duo designed, planned and filmed an intergalactic Star Wars speeder chase right here on Earth. It was a stunt so impressive that it's no surprise the cops got involved...
