Twitter Vireo
Big new releases are thin on the ground in December, but those eager beavers at Twitter are still pushing out code; the video team have just released Vireo, a lightweight and versatile video processing library, as an open-source project. Written in C++11 it allows scaleable backend processing of videos, which can then be output to the web.
