Mitigating the effects through disaster preparedness is one of the world's greatest challenges facing our humanitarian affiliates, including The American Red Cross and United Nations Human Rights office. Developers are uniquely qualified to answer the call through the technology and partner organizations supporting Call for Code.
IBM recently announced its $30 million commitment to Call for Code as a founding partner; we're inviting you to commit to the cause and push for change.

You should take a look at our IBM Code Patterns, open source code that demonstrates how to use The Weather Company, IBM Watson AI, and Blockchain services on the IBM Cloud. You could use IBM Code Patterns for inspiration to kickstart your solutions or build your idea on other services in the IBM Cloud portfolio, many of which are based on open source technologies.
Winners will receive $200,000, backing from The Linux Foundation, long-term support from IBM, plus much more. The top solution will be deployed by the winner and IBM in areas that need it through IBM's Corporate Service Corps.
