Try a free 14-day subscriptionHey! Adam again, coming at you with an update on the plan for subscribers in July. As you may remember, Versioning now covers a different subject in-depth every month. In June, that subject was Modern JavaScript. In July, it will be Design Systems and Living Styleguides. Subscribers get access to all the content already released, plus the July content as it comes through. If you subscribe, you'll receive:
Let's take a closer look at the plan: June was focused on Modern JavaScript covered JavaScript frameworks, like React and Angular, GraphQL, React Native and Vue Native, Electron, functional JavaScript and plenty more. There were interviews with PayPal full-stack JavaScript dev, teacher and Google Developer Expert Kent C. Dodds, CodePen and CSS Tricks founder Chris Coyier and pre-eminent JavaScript teacher Wes Bos, the constantly updated collection of links and three free SitePoint books. That'll be packaged up as an ebook to keep, but even before that, all of this is still available on the Substack platform for new subscribers! July will be focused on design systems and living styleguides. Both form part of a new movement towards designers and developers establishing rules designed to make collaboration easier, improve design quality, and generally increase sanity levels. Think: building with Lego blocks vs. clay. This is exciting stuff, I'm looking forward to learning more. It'll be fun, it'll be useful, it'll be yours to keep. Here's what's on the way beyond July:
I'll be learning this stuff too. I'm no expert in any one area, and there are a few areas, so this is a way for us both to improve our knowledge and skills in the most important web subjects - this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership! If you're keen, sign up here or hit the button below - the first 14 days are free, after that the membership will be either $7 per month, or $70 for a year (two months free!) I hope to see you Monday and beyond as we learn to play Legos together! |
