As a leader, I often look for ways to motivate and inspire my team. This talk by Simon Sinek resonated with me because it provides a framework to create that vision. In particular, Sinek's concept to focus on why we do something versus what we do rang true with me as this helps establish a greater purpose behind your work. His explanation of the emotional resonance behind work is important because people need to believe in what they are doing and be willing to give 110% every day. This video not only serves as inspiration to do better work, but also motivates people to consider their own "why."

One last thing: Followers Decide

One last thing: Followers Decide

Before social media, it was hard for fans to interact with influencers. Today, fans can connect directly with their favorite creators through live videos and comment sections. With over 100 million views this year (YouTube Internal Data, Global, January - July 2018), the "followers decide" trend takes this unique interaction one step further.

How? Creators use polls to let their fans make decisions for them. Some creators ask for help on small decisions—like which new food to sample or makeup trend to try. Others ask for input on bigger things, like their new hair color, a blind date and even tattoos! Creators then capture the experience on video so followers can see the impact.
