I've worked on many ads about women, from Secret to Yoplait, and the best part of those projects is experiencing the razor-sharp commentary of the women around me. As a gender, we've done a lot of policing and expressed a lot of rage, which has been necessary, but we also need to play. I'm ready for more feminist comedy, which is why I love Yoplait's 1-833-MOM-TIPS video that our team made as a fast, low-budget social follow-up to their Mom On campaign. Similarly, SNL's Dinner Discussion hilariously pokes fun at the anxiety people feel around our new gender dynamics and discussing touchy subjects. For me, understanding each other is so much more important than a women-can-do-anything montage. We have to have awkward, hard conversations. It's going to be weird, but it's going to be great. And I hope we can find ways to laugh at ourselves along the way.
