| Hello, Cloud enthusiasts! When was the last time you actually enjoyed learning how to code? Let's face it, for most of us, software skills development can be about as entertaining as watching some guy get a haircut. Then again, if that guy is our own Doug Tidwell, and if he were to provide a lucid explanation of a current technology (like, say, the basics of the Istio service mesh) while getting that haircut -- perhaps you'd tune in? Maybe even have a little fun? Entertaining technical education is the primary objective of his developerWorks Mailbag video training series. Doug explores a wide range of current tech topics -- Kubernetes clusters, microservices, chatbots, and more -- and peppers the lessons with a variety of offbeat diversions: the surreal view from his office window, commercials for nonexistent products, outtakes, costumes, and ... well, who knows what he'll come up with this week? (Might depend on his grooming needs.) Only Doug knows for sure. Tune in and find out. If nothing else, you might actually learn something. And if you're looking for more traditional cloud learning resources, check the listings below. See something you like? Spread the word using our "Forward to a friend" link in the lower right.
