User Research for Email: Study Methodology
A few weeks ago, we released updated findings on how to design marketing emails and newsletters, with 199 UX guidelines based on our testing of more than 500 emails.
In case you want to do your own user research with your own email designs, we also have a 92-page report that describes the recommended methodology for testing email in detail. We have refined this study methodology through 6 rounds of research over the years: it’s not as simple as you might hope to conduct user research on the email user experience. It’s not the same as testing websites.
